Cancellation Policy

General information
Be aware that Varenna, our Hotel and the Apartments are full of steps. We recommend to pack light. We do not provide any porter service and have no elevator in any of our accommodations. As a small family Hotel, we are adversely affected when guests cancel a booking. Such cancellations often cause our rooms to remain vacant last minute even during very busy periods. We appreciate your comprehension and acceptance of our policy.

From 3pm to 8pm, Please inform the hotel in case of arrival after 8pm. No night porter service is available.

Cancellation and reservation policy
To guarantee your reservation a credit card valid up to the month following your arrival date is required.

Confirmation of stay
To confirm your stay your credit card will be charged a deposit of one night upon confirmation of this reservation. We do not accept American Express.

Cancellation of your stay
To cancel your reservation, we require a written communication via email or follow the link in your on-line confirmation, and we will follow-up in writing with confirmation of cancellation. Time of referral is GMT +1 local Italian time.

For all stays:

  • up to 14 days before the arrival date. The deposit will be refunded to your credit card minus 15 Euro as administrative fee.
  • up to 8 days before arrival, the entire deposit will be forfeited.
  • less than 8 days, the full cost of your stay will be charged to your credit card.
  • In case of change of plans (delayed arrival or early departure, no show) the full amount for all confirmed nights will be charged to your credit card.

For stays longer than 7 nights and group stays a slightly stricter cancellation policy will be applied and communicated.
